Denmark vs Prussia 1864

my brother came home the other day and told me about the Slesvig-Holsten conflict between Germany and Denmark whether the land that connect the two lands was German or danish. Prussia then saw a good opportunity to attack Denmark which didn't turned out very well for Denmark. We lost 1/5 of the country (Prussia+Austrian got 61.000 (+20.000) and Denmark got 38.000 men)... But today you can read the diary of the danish soldiers who fought against the Prussian and Austrian soldiers. It's all about how they wanted to fight for Denmark even if it means to die. Well its a sad story but pretty cool to know that even when things looks that bad they would still stand and fight for the country ^^
